This proposal for “Storm House” is based on the cutting-edge technology when the unmanned aerobat is developed into the tree-leaf size and is solar-powered to support itself floating in the air for a long time. The house is made of numerous tree-leaf-sized unmanned aerobates, which are divided into alternately used groups. With digital remote control, these artificial “leaves” form into foliage-like constantly varying three-dimensional matrixes. The physical dynamics among the unmanned aerobates make the 3D matrixes not only shape dynamic spaces of the house for people’s activities but also create dynamic agreeable house environments by resisting, filtering, adjusting, shading, or blocking certain amounts of sunlight, wind, rain, snow, or lightning while the unmanned aerobates are dynamically and steadily floating in the air.
