This project is a renovation of the San Giovanni in Val di Lago church. It locates near Lake Bolsena in the Lazio region of Italy. The octagonal church was built in the mid-16th century on the ruins of a medieval church dedicated to St John the Baptist. It was originally completed with a wooden roof and two smaller buildings on each side of the main church, which were used as a sacristy and hermitage. It was abandoned in the early nineteenth century when the new town of San Lorenzo was built. As well as maintaining its religious function, the new renovation calls for a new roof and spaces to accommodate pilgrims.
